I mentioned a few weeks ago that we have been working on so many fun party invitations.  This past weekend was one of the first parties:  Ben’s monkey party!  When Ben’s mom contacted us in January, she knew she wanted to go with a monkey theme.  We had so much fun creating a few different designs for the invitations.

This is the one she chose:

I love the red and blue color combination and that monkey is just adorable!  Michelle also asked us to create party circles, food labels and a banner for the party and we were more than happy to!

Thanks so much for asking us to create these invitations, Mikie!  I hope your little fellow enjoyed his day.

Find this collection – and other monkey designs – in our shop now!

Hello there…

We’re still here and busier than ever!  Beverly and I are thrilled with the requests we’ve had recently – we are working on so many fun things!   A wedding invitation, spa baby shower, birth announcements, a Pinkalicious themed party invitation, and a roller-skating party invitation are just some of the fun custom items we’ve been working on!  We also customized two of our favorite collections – the navy and green {Oh, Baby!} invitation for a boy’s birthday party and the bright circus invitation – for new customers.  Here are some sneak peeks, and you know we’ll share everything as we put the new collections in the Etsy shop.

I found some new images that would make beautiful notecards, and I think the silhouettes from Evie’s sweet party invite would make cute notecards, too.  What do you think?

And finally, look for Valentine’s greetings soon.  We’re creating something fun and sweet for you to share with friends and family.

{Does everyone have this much fun when they work?! }

One of our favorite bloggy friends contacted us about creating a custom invitation for her daughter’s 2nd birthday party.  We knew from reading her blog that Jennifer’s daughter Evie is a sweet girly-girl, so we thought these simple silhouette images in pink would be perfect.  Jennifer loved it and now we’re so excited to add the invitations to our shop for you!

Be sure to visit Jennifer’s blog to see the cute pictures from the party.  Evie definitely enjoyed the chocolate icing on her cupcake!  Thank you Jennifer for asking us to create Evie’s party invitations.  We were honored!

I’m one of those people who goes overboard on everything.  If one picture frame is good, then six is great.  Five pumpkins on the mantel?  Oh, let’s add one more!  However, I do strive for simplicity in my life.  I try to keep clutter at a minimum, play calm music on my ipod and car radio, and shrug off an occasional spill or a floor that needs sweeping.  I ooh and ahh over clutter-free dresser tops and end tables in magazines, but let’s face it:  I have never been, and never will be, a person who exudes calm.  I love colors and lights and noise and knick-knacks.  I can only listen to classical music for so long before I want to sing along – very loudly – to Bon Jovi or Carrie Underwood.  And every room in my house is painted a different color – and most days, I love it!  Those colors perfectly reflect the playful spirit within, or at least that’s what I tell myself until the next time I glance at a catalog or see a house on HGTV that is simple and calm and clean looking.  Maybe that’s why I love this holiday card so much.  It reflects what I strive for:  calm, beautiful and simple.  So even if I am lousy at exuding calm and put-togetherness, my holiday greeting can help me pretend!

Are you looking for a calm, simple way to say Happy Holidays?  Don’t celebrate Christmas but still want to send holiday greetings?  Prefer something more winter-y than Christmas-y?  This simple snowflake card is the perfect way to send winter cheer.

Find this simple greeting in the shop now.

Remember the cute safari invitations we gave you a sneak peek of recently?  Well, our youngest cousin and his wife are expecting a baby in December and my mom, sisters and I were so excited to shower the mother-to-be with love and gifts this past weekend.  Beverly’s home looked beautiful as usual and my mom made a delicious spread (roast beef party sandwiches and cupcakes were the super-stars of the menu, along with other yummy treats!).  My mom also made the pumpkin centerpieces, inspired by the latest Southern Living.  (We get our Southern Livings each month and call/email/text each other on a regular basis until we’ve covered every square inch of the magazine – it’s our favorite!)

Anyway, it was a gorgeous day, Brandi (the mother-to-be) looked beautiful, and it was so nice to meet her sister and grandmother – who drove down from New York! – and all of her sweet friends.  Baby showers are such happy occasions!

The safari theme was inspired by the baby’s nursery, and we carried the colors and fun animal prints from the bedding and invitations into the other decorations.  We hope the remainder of Brandi’s pregnancy is happy and healthy and know she is ready to meet her bundle of joy soon!  At least she’s totally prepared now after the awesome gifts she got on Saturday.

Congratulations, Brandi and Ryan!

{Do you *love* this invitation?  Or the cute party circles, favor tags, or the Happy Day banner?  It’s available for your next shower or party in our Etsy shop.}

We celebrated Molly’s first birthday over the weekend with lots of family and friends.  I chose the theme – bumblebees – after purchasing the sweetest smocked bumblebee bubble suit in the spring.  I was a little worried that it wouldn’t fit her now, but it did!

Beverly designed the adorable invitation {there were several versions – be sure to check out our Etsy shop for the designs!} and other paper products for me.  I had such great help from Beverly, my mom, my mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law to get everything organized.  Thank you!!

{My in-laws made the cutest sugar cookies using beehive and bee shaped cookie cutters; I made the bunting to hang on the mantle and over the dessert table after being inspired by Sara; the paper garland on the chandelier was an easy DIY project from Kim at Project Nursery;  the delicious cake and cupcakes are from local bakery Tizzerts; so many books were donated in honor of Molly for the Levine’s Children’s Hospital; the flatware was rolled in these bright yellow napkins and finished with the party circles!}

We have a new collection in the Etsy shop…  Perfect for a boy’s birthday party or baby shower….let us customize this invite for your next party!

I designed these airplane invitations for my new nephew’s Sip’n See.  Aren’t those types of parties so fun?  My sister-in-law, Hannah, already has one super sweet little boy and they waited to find out what the gender of their next child was.  Now that Aaron is here and everyone is getting a little sleep, Chad and Hannah are thrilled to introduce Aaron to the world.  I’m hosting a sundae social to honor Hannah and Aaron in a few weeks, so check back to see the pictures.
